Privacy Policy

Account information: name, email address, phone number, password (stored hashed, never in plain text), and a profile photo if you choose to upload one from your photo library.

Booking & payment information: turf/venue bookings, slot times, split-payment details, and transaction records. Payments are processed by Razorpay — we do not store your card or UPI credentials.

Location — venue discovery (foreground only): with your permission, we use your device's location while the app is in the foreground to show you nearby sports venues. You can deny or revoke this at any time in your device settings.

Location — run tracking (background): when you start a run in the FirstBookit app, we request background location access so we can continue recording your GPS route if you switch apps or lock your screen mid-run. Background location is only active during an active run session and stops automatically the moment you end your run. We never collect background location for any other purpose.

Run & fitness data: when you use the run-tracking feature we record your GPS route points, distance, pace, duration, elevation, estimated calories, and any fitness profile information you choose to provide (height, weight, age, gender). This data is stored on our servers to generate your run history and statistics. It is never sold or shared with third parties. You can delete all run history by deleting your account.

Tournament & match data: when you participate in or score a cricket match or tournament, we record match results, ball-by-ball scoring data, player statistics, and team information. This data is used to display scorecards, leaderboards, and player profiles within the app. It is not shared with third parties.

Device & usage data: app version, device type, crash logs, and push-notification tokens, used to keep the app reliable and to notify you about your bookings and matches.

Photos & videos you upload: profile photos, venue photos (turf owners), and photos/videos posted to tournament galleries. Gallery content is visible to other participants of that tournament. You can report objectionable content and block its uploader from within the app (see our Terms of Service), and reported content is reviewed within 24 hours.

Sign-in data: if you use "Sign in with Google", we receive your name, email, and profile photo from Google to create your account. If you use "Sign in with Apple", we receive your name and email address (or Apple's private relay email if you choose to hide yours) from Apple.

We use your information to create and manage your account, process bookings and payments, send booking confirmations and reminders, show you nearby venues, respond to support requests, and improve the platform. We do not sell your personal data.

We share data only with the service providers needed to run FirstBookit:

• Razorpay — payment processing for bookings and split payments.
• Google — Google Sign-In authentication and push notifications (Firebase Cloud Messaging).
• Apple — Sign in with Apple authentication and push notification delivery (APNs) on iOS devices.
• Turf/venue owners — your name and booking details, so they can honour your reservation.
• Cloud hosting and image-storage providers used to run the app and store uploaded photos.

We retain account data while your account is active. Booking and payment records are retained for as long as required by Indian tax and financial regulations, even after you delete your account, because they document completed transactions. When you delete your account, we remove or anonymize your personal identifiers (name, email, phone, photo) and your account can no longer be signed into.

You can review and edit your profile information at any time from within the app. To delete your account and personal data:

• In the app: open your Profile, tap Delete Account, and confirm. This is processed immediately.
• Without the app: email support@firstbookit.in from your registered email address with the subject "Delete my account", and we will delete it within 7 days.

As noted above, transaction records tied to completed bookings may be retained in anonymized form for legal and accounting purposes after deletion.

The FirstBookit website uses essential cookies/local storage to keep you signed in and remember preferences. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.

FirstBookit is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them.

We use industry-standard measures — encrypted connections (HTTPS), hashed passwords, and access controls — to protect your data. No system is 100% secure, but we work to keep your information safe.

The FirstBookit mobile app requests the following device permissions. Each is optional and requested only when you use the related feature; you can revoke any of them at any time in your device settings.

• Location (precise, foreground): to show sports venues near you on the map and to record your GPS route while the app is open during a run.
• Location (background): to continue recording your GPS route when you switch apps or lock your screen during an active run session only. This permission is requested separately with a clear explanation before the system dialog appears. It is never used outside of an active run. On iOS, a visible location indicator is shown for the entire duration of tracking.
• Camera: to scan tournament scorer QR codes and to take photos or videos for your profile, teams, venue listings, and tournament galleries.
• Photo library: to let you choose existing photos for your profile, teams, venue listings, and tournament galleries, and to save run summary images you choose to share.
• Microphone: only if you record a video (e.g. for a venue listing) — the microphone captures the video's audio. It is never accessed otherwise.
• Notifications: to send booking confirmations, payment receipts, match score updates, and run milestone alerts (e.g. “1 km reached”). You can disable these at any time in your device settings.
• Foreground service (Android): required by Android to keep the run-tracking service alive while you run. A persistent notification is shown while the service is active and is dismissed automatically when you end your run.

In compliance with Google Play's Data Safety requirements, here is a summary of how we handle your data:

• Data collected: approximate location (venue discovery), precise location (run tracking), name, email address, phone number, fitness information (height, weight, age), run activity data (route, distance, pace, calories), and app diagnostics (crash logs).
• Data shared with third parties: payment data is shared with Razorpay for processing only. We do not sell any personal data.
• Data encryption: all data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS). Account passwords are hashed and never stored in plain text.
• Data deletion: you can request deletion of all personal data from within the app (Profile → Delete Account) or by emailing support@firstbookit.in. Transaction records may be retained in anonymized form for legal compliance.
• Children: we do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above.
